Lord, you are so simple
that I imagine you grand.
You are so grand
that I imagine you simpler than you are.
What you are I cannot know,
nevertheless you know yourself in me.
Even then, it is only you knowing you.
I can merely participate in your knowing
and loving of yourself.
And for that I am deeply grateful.
